Don’t Miss the Final Day for Late October SAT Registration

If you are an American student wishing to take the SAT in the United States or one of its territories, today is the final day you may register for the October SAT. If you have not done so already and you wish to take this October’s SAT, you must call or register online by 11:59 pm Eastern Time, Monday, September 24, 2012.

Previously, the final date for October SAT registrations had been September 21, 2012. The College Board has extended this by three days for those wishing to register online or by phone; however, for those wishing to register by mail, the registration cutoff date has remained September 21. If your registration was not postmarked by September 21 at 11:50 pm, you must assume your registration has been denied.

Late registration does require an additional fee. It is $50 to register for the SAT during normal registration periods. Late registrants will add another $27 to that amount. The College Board does permit fee waivers for students meeting financial guidelines. These cutoff dates are not affected by an individual’s fee waiver status.

For more information on SAT test dates and registration go to the College Board website.
